Patrick’s Lost Luck

Summary

When Patrick started his new school, Shamrock Elementary, he was more than a little nervous, for Patrick was hiding a secret that he did not want any of the other children to learn.

But right from day one things didn’t go very well for him. First he spilled water on his pants and the other kids thought he had wet himself and then he had the worst day ever on the basketball court. Finally, after a week, his bad luck seemed to infect the whole school.

There was no doubt about it. Patrick had lost his luck and nobody wanted to be around him.

But things start to change when he meets Sofia, another student who is struggling with her confidence and doesn’t believe she can win the STEM fair.

Patrick sets about helping Sofia, encouraging her to follow her dream and in the process he finds out something about himself as well.

What has happened to Patrick’s luck? What is the secret he has been hiding from Sofia and his new classmates? And can his enthusiasm for her STEM project change his fortunes for the better?
