Summary

It stinks that Curtis' parents have gotten divorced and he has to share a room in his new apartment with his little brother. The only good thing to come from all the changes in Curtis' life is that his mom feels so guilty that she's agreed to get him the dog he's always wanted. Sammy is a friendly puppy with perfect white teeth. Curtis promises he'll do all the work, but taking care of a puppy is hard. Sammy likes to chew on Curtis' sneakers. Even worse, he has a habit of snapping at people when they get between him and food. If Curtis can't keep Sammy in line, Curtis might have to find Sammy a new home.
