Uncle Wiggily, the gentleman Bunny Rabbit, is excited that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. He asks his housekeeper to make a pumpkin pie and she replies that she will be happy to do so but that he must supply the pumpkin. "A big one" she adds because she knows how much Uncle Wiggily loves pumpkin pie. He and his friend Butters, the goat, find a really big one but the adventures start when it escapes and rolls down the hill along with both of them. Author Bio: Howard Garis
Howard Roger Garis (1873–1962) was an American author best known for a series of books featuring the character Uncle Wiggily Longears, an engaging elderly rabbit. Garis and his wife, Lilian, were possibly the most prolific children’s authors of the early twentieth century. Garis was born in Binghamton, New York, and worked as a reporter for the Newark Evening News.
